Oxygen House is the new 40.000 sq ft eco-headquarters of the fast developing and pioneering ATASS Group of companies.

Designed and built to create the greenest new building in Exeter with Allsop & Pitts appointed to create the staff kitchen and restaurant.

With an approach to their staff that includes words such as “fun” into their working lives ATASS needed a catering facility to go alongside a gymnasium, all weather pitch and “break-out” areas that reflects this approach.

Allsop and Pitts manufactured and installed a front of house experience that includes a bespoke circular bar to house a range of beverage machines, refrigeration and storage which is backed up with closed and open storage including one off shaped glass shelving and is covered by an overhead illuminated bulkhead.

For food service a matching servery was constructed using a Corrian top that “waterfalls” away at one end and houses heated food display, self service chilled salad bar and refrigerated merchandiser plus plate lowerators and trayslide.

The kitchen includes a combination oven and range plus refrigeration, preparation and storage areas plus central dishwash and a ventilation system that utilises odour control to make sure that cooking smells do not re-enter the building on the levels above.

This project demanded a high level of attention from design to installation and the end result was a job that Allsop and Pitts are particularly proud of.
